History

Pasig Green Pasture Christian School began as a vision of its businessman founder, Sir Charles Yap Tiu, to build a school that provides quality and affordable Christian education.

The construction of the first building was completed in 2012. It started its school operation on June 10, 2013 with only 37 students and 8 faculty members. Praise God today, the school has more than 300 students with 20 faculty members!

Although a young school, Pasig Green Pasture has seen God’s wonderful works and providence in many ways. First was the building of the extension wing to the main building creating more classrooms, laboratories and cafeteria. Second, was the recognition granted by the Department of Education to operate from Preschool to Junior High School in 2015. Then, the school was granted a permit to accept foreign students by the Bureau of Immigration on April 4, 2016. Third was the completion of the gym in 2016. The gym is used for various sporting activities, flag ceremonies, general assemblies and major school events. Additionally, the school broke ground for its third building, the CYT Memorial Building to house its Junior and Senior High school students. Fourth, Pasig Green Pasture received the permit to operate Senior High School from the Department of Education to offer all strands under the Academic Track namely Accountancy Business and Management (ABM), General Academic Strand (GAS), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), and the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) strands. Each strand has its own specializations and set of challenges.

The school is now fully prepared for PAASCU accreditation; the purpose of which is to continuously upgrade our educational quality and services. PAASCU stands for Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities. It is a private, voluntary, non-profit and non- stock corporation which was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 5, 1957. It is a service organization that accredits academic programs which meet standards of quality education.

Due to the pandemic COVID-19, the school found ways to make child learning in the School Year 2020 – 2021 possible through its transition to virtual environment where classes and other school programs are held online with the use of the effective platforms offered by Google and are conducted by Google certified educators.
