Five Tips in Preparing for the Incoming School Year
It can be tough for you and your kid when school starts again; therefore, setting some standards and guidelines to follow through the entire year is a great plan. A good plan will reduce the tension at home, free up some time and ensure that you get all things done.
Tip 1: Time Management
A simple wall calendar will do the trick. The wall calendar is a tool that you can use in your time management; simply place the big wall calendar in a place near your regular study space and come up with a color code for your children’s classes, study time, play time and must do. In that way, you can be prepared for all incoming test and big events.
Tip 2: Shop for Materials
Most school provides a list of materials the child would need for the whole school year, you might want to ask one so you can start buying the things that the child would need on the first day of classes.
Tip 3: Pack the School Bag
Getting the supplies in advance will give you the time to double check that you have everything and packing them will make you see what fits and works best for your child.
Tip 4: Set a Routine
To function at your best, your child would need to be well rested and alert at the start of the school year. If you have been sleeping late during summer vacation, you might find it difficult to adjust to the earlier schedule, so it is important to start this adjustment before classes begin.
Tip 5: Read, Read, Read
It would be nice to refresh your child learnings by re-reading last school year lessons and then start advanced reading of the incoming lessons just to get an idea of what it will be like for the incoming school year.
